Chinese stocks open slightly higher on ThuPublished: 19 Feb 2009 00:00:00 PST<p class="authorInfor"]</p]<!--begin CK content--]<P]Feb. 19, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened slightly higher on Thursday after yesterday's sharp fall.</P]<P]The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened slightly higher at 2,224.49, up 0.66% or 14.63 points from Wednesday.</P]<P]The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.81% higher at 8,149.37 points.<BR]</P]
