Las Vegas Sands to offer shares in HK in late Nov: reportPublished: 13 Oct 2009 19:38:25 PST<p class="authorInfor"]</p]<!--begin CK content--]<ul class="narrow"]Top 5 News From ChinaKnowledge.comCDB may buy Stockfly Securities: reportLi Ka-shing raises stake in Cheung Kong to 40.43%China Futures Exchange Center may be set up in BeijingVW's China sales up 37% in Jan-SepChina International Travel Service to list in Shanghai on Thu<P]Oct. 14, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Casino operator Las Vegas Sands Corp will launch an initial public offering for its Macau assets on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as early as late November, the South China Morning Post reported today, </P]<P]The casino giant has submitted an application to list its shares on the HKEx in August and expects to raise up to US$2.5 billion from the offering. </P]<P]Goldman Sachs and Barclays have been hired to handle the IPO, and an IPO hearing is expected to take place by the end of October, according to the report. </P]<P]In September, Las Vegas Sands secured commitments for up to US$600 million of capital through the sale of exchangeable bonds, which will be mandatorily exchangeable into common shares of the Macau unit after its IPO.</P]<P]The Las Vegas-based company currently owns and operates The Venetian Macao Resort-Hotel and the Sands Macao in the special administrative region. </P]<P]Earlier this month, Wynn Macau Ltd<1128>, owned by the Las Vegas casino company Wynn Resorts, successfully raised US$1.63 billion from a Hong Kong IPO. </P]
